THE PROCESS
From conception to completion, we follow meticulous steps to give you a “new” space while staying mostly within your original footprint. Our goal is the same as yours: to give your cabinets a well-deserved facelift—while also offering updates to other areas of the space, such as flooring, backsplash, fixtures, etc., using our in-house remodeling team. Below is an overview of our process and what to expect:
STEP 1: ConsulTation & Project Scope
We’ll sit down with you to go over your design—just as we do with our kitchen, bath, and beyond remodels—to ensure your vision is achieved. We offer a wide variety of options to elevate your existing cabinets:
CABINET REFINISHING
Almost endless colors and stains are available—with options for accent colors or stains. Whether you're painting over paint, painting over stain, or even changing the tone of already-stained cabinets, we’ve got you covered.
CABINET REFACING
Not only can we refinish your cabinets, but we can also replace your old doors and drawer fronts with new ones—completely transforming their exterior.
NEW HARDWARE & ACCESSORIES
Choose from new knobs, pulls, hinges, slides, and interior options like roll-outs, pull-outs, cutlery trays, tray dividers, and more.
CABINETRY ADD-ONS
We can “add on” to existing cabinets—like decorative/end panels, additional cabinetry, and more.

STEP 2: mODIFICATIONS TO your space
Before refinishing begins, we complete any upgrades, changes, or enhancements listed above so that your space is ready for the next phase. This helps us ensure all details are in place before spraying—though some items may be installed afterward.
STEP 3: PREPPING THE SURROUNDING AREAS
We remove everything that can be—cabinet doors, drawer fronts, hardware, etc.—and transport them to our state-of-the-art custom shop for finishing. In your kitchen, we carefully tape off and protect surfaces like countertops, flooring, backsplash, and surrounding areas to prevent overspray. Finally, we thoroughly clean, sand, and prime everything to prepare for finishing.
STEP 4: LET’S GET SPRAYING!
Once all prep work is complete (including any new cabinetry or panels), we apply your chosen paint or stain. This is followed by a two-part conversion varnish for maximum durability and easy maintenance. Your refinished cabinets will have a finish that rivals that of new cabinets—built to last.
STEP 5: ReAssembly & finishing touches
After refinishing, we reinstall your showroom-quality cabinet doors and drawer fronts onto the existing cabinet boxes. We remove all protective tape, complete any remaining enhancements (like backsplash), and leave you with a beautifully refreshed space ready for everyday use.
